Our team can provide access to specialists and experts for patients with rare conditions.
Our hospital is a full-service veterinary facility. This means we are fully equipped to provide a wide range of general medical care for our patients. Bet that as it may, some patients come to us with incredibly rare conditions that require the expertise of specialized veterinary centers. In these cases, we will send patients to our colleagues at other hospitals to ensure they get the care they need. To learn more about veterinary referrals, give us a call at 519-969-7390.
Your primary vet will typically create the referral if they think your cat or dog can use the second opinion or expertise of another doctor. Our administrative team will take care of scheduling and forwarding your pet's information to the other hospital.
Yes. We will keep in touch with the referred team about your pet's progress. Once their treatment plan has been completed, you can rest assured you can still come back to us for your pet's primary care needs.
Yes, on a case-by-case basis. We sometimes receive patients sent to us by our colleagues in the region and provide care to them as long as we are able to do so, without compromising our capacity to care for our existing patients.
